The May Fair’s Youtube Channel Previews Taste of the Luxe Life

LONDON, UK, November 14, 2008. The May Fair, a contemporary luxury hotel in the heart of London, opens the lens to the lifestyles of the rich and famous with the debut of its own YouTube Channel – becoming the first UK hotel to do so.

Looking to give travelers a glimpse into The May Fair’s luxury lifestyle from afar, The May Fair’s channel launches with a collection of 14 videos, including one-on-one chats with celebrities – such as Paris Hilton – an interview with the hotel’s former rock star turned personal trainer, Myke Grey; and footage of the hotel’s Signature Suites.

The videos are presented in a format that is personable, stylish and real. General Manager Charles Oak and his team offer an ease of personality that is rarely seen with formal interviews with celebrities and the result is a series of refreshingly personal interviews. For example, in Oak’s interview with Paris Hilton, she shares her love of London and desire to move there some day.

“When people think of five-star London hotels, they tend to think of the same old same old. We want them to think differently,” says Oak. “We want our YouTube channel to engage people via cyber-space in the same way the hotel engages its guests – by becoming a destination, a lifestyle and a service that is more about people than simply hotel rooms.

Upcoming content will include more celebrity interviews, suggested workout routines from the hotel’s personal trainer, cocktails of the month from leading mixologists and 10-minute recipes from the hotel’s executive chef.

Set in exclusive Mayfair in the heart of London, The May Fair hotel is in close proximity to the city’s best shopping districts on Piccadilly and Bond Street; Knightsbridge, Green Park and Buckingham Palace. The celebrated hotel’s 406 guest rooms bring an eclectic luxury style to the historic West End hotel that first opened in 1927 with King George V and Queen Mary in attendance. From Fendi furnishings; Baccarat chandeliers, including the largest Baccarat chandelier in Europe; the largest private theater in London, to ten new spacious signature suites, The May Fair Bar and the Asian-inspired May Fair Spa, The May Fair is leading a renaissance of luxury hotels in London.

By Bryan J. Clark, President & CEO, Lion CFC Inc

Acquisition Development/Construction financing, or ADC financing for short, has become more difficult to secure in recent months for all the obvious reasons i.e. “credit crisis,” “700B bailout plan,” etc. With everything that is happening in the marketplace (the “sub-prime mortgage meltdown,” the “residential real estate market bubble/collapse) the effect each of these is having on real estate builders stock prices as of late, this type of loan product will only get harder to find...

The Hotel Concierge: Effective Technology You Should be Using

By Leigh Anne Dolecki, Chef Concierge, Campton Place Hotel

Wow, has it really been less than 15 years since were introduced to the World Wide Web? It’s not news that modern technology has completely changed the way we live in the past ten to twenty years. At this point in my career, I can’t even imagine being a concierge without it. By nature, concierges are information junkies; many of us find this new frontier absolutely irresistible as it appeals to our sense of curiosity and problem solving...
