Sheraton Stockton and Waterfront Hotel will Fly Lexington Flag

CLEVELAND, OH, November 14, 2008. The Lexington Collection of fine Hotels, Plaza Hotels, and Resorts worldwide is pleased to announce that the current Waterfront Hotel Stockton, California at Regent Pointe is set to become the Lexington Plaza Waterfront Hotel. This is the second Sheraton to join the Lexington Collection this month.

The 179-room plaza hotel is newly constructed – having been built in 2007. Stockton’s premiere hotel is primed to offer Lexington guests a relaxing retreat and classic waterfront experience after a hard day’s work or play. Generously-sized guest rooms feature eco-friendly and ergonomically-developed bedding and furniture to enhance the comfort level of the guests. Each room features high-speed Internet access, in-room movies, and room service as a great way to unwind. For premier sleeping comfort, each bed is draped with a plush-top mattress, cozy blanket and duvet, plump down pillows and firm, allergy sensitive pillows.

Guests can kick-up their activities a notch by visiting the state-of-the-art fitness center and a brand new outdoor pool. Located next to the hotel are the Stockton Arena, home to the Stockton Thunder Pro Hockey team, California Cougars indoor soccer, and the Lightening-arena football team, and the Stockton Ports Baseball Field.

Much to the delight of meeting and wedding planners, the hotel features over 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting space and break-out rooms. Also available is an outdoor event space overlooking the waterfront. Up to 400 people can be accommodated in the outdoor space.

Located inside the hotel is the impeccably distinctive Hippo Bar that offers the latest cocktail trends and refined cuisine. The menu includes everything from sandwiches to succulent, world-famous steaks and other gourmet specialties.

“This impeccable waterfront property with incredible coastal views is definitely the premiere property in Stockton and we’re proud that it will be a member of the Lexington brand,” said Steve Belmonte, President, CEO & Partner of Vantage Hospitality’s Lexington Hotels.

“It made smart business sense for us to go with Lexington,” Jeroen Gerrese , the property’s President said. “The Lexington’s state-of-the-art reservations system and user-friendly website will be a huge bonus for our guests. The fact that Lexington is part of the Vantage Hospitality Group, the 12th largest hotel chain in the world, we know that we have our finger on the pulse of innovative technologies and services to offer our guests and we couldn’t be more excited.”
